We had 23 guests at our last serving at Bread of Life. We served an egg casserole and hashed brown potatoes. Two unexpected things happened on this snowy day in Northern New Jersey. We always pray before the meal and this day I asked that everyone join me to lift up a family that also […]
So this past weekend we had to deal with snow on Saturday morning. This is not a big deal as we live in an area that gets snow often. When I/we served in our other location outside in the park, it was a much bigger deal. The new location has us serving our meal and […]
Wow! Hard to believe we have finished another year and onto the next! As you know we (the staff and family of Trinity Reservations) are passionate about paying our blessings forward by buying, preparing and feeding the needy in our community twice a month. The average number of guests are 20 – 25 people. Our […]
You never know how God will knit together people and resources. This past week I was sharing some blessings and needs from our last time of serving the needy in our area at Bread of Life with one of our other team leaders. I was also sharing how blessed we were to be able to […]

Besides he loves the fellowship he has while serving with others. As we finished our conversation we concluded that compassion is at the core of what motivates a volunteer. So what are you compassionate about? What motivates you to serve others?
I invited a friend to join me last month when it was my scheduled week to provide the lunch at Bread of Life. I don’t believe he knew what to expect and was perhaps apprehensive about serving a meal, clothes and interacting with so many needy people. I was very excited to see how this […]
I realized the other day how often I allow the circumstances of the world to direct my path on a day to day basis. Honestly it most often goes in a direction that ends in frustration, aggrivation and exhaustion despite the many good things that happen. Can you relate? It occures to me that I […]
