Bread of Life in March with Trinity Reservations Staff 3/21/2015

This past Saturday was cold but sunny! Temps are still in the high 30's to low 40's. We had 18 guests attend our lunch, 7 of which were children under 10 years old. We served lasagna with garlic bread. The local bakery came by with a huge bag of bread and pastries to give away. We had just finished serving seconds when a family of 5 came in. I knew we may not have enough food but God seemed to mulitply what we had and it was just enough to serve each person. Praise God! Everyone went home with bread and dessert. It is heart breaking for us to see kids hungry and not knowing where their next meal will be coming from. We can see the distress in the eyes of the parents. Such burdens should not exist.

It is our hope and prayer that you would be encouraged to find a way to help others in your community. The need for volunteers is great. The opportunities to serve are also great. We ask that you consider taking a step out of your comfort zone and give it a try. We think you will be surprised by the impact you can have on others.
