Cruise Port Shuttle Bus vs Private Car Service

We started to offer private town car and suv service right before the Pandemic hit. We were not sure if people would want to pay extra for this service so it was a bit of a gamble. It turns out that the number one complaint by our customers who have used a Park, Stay and Cruise package that included a shuttle bus for the cruise port transfers was the experience they had coming back from the port.

Going to the port was not so bad as the check in times varied. This provided a time period of 10 am to 1pm for the most popular times to leave the hotel to go to the port. Coming back from the port is another story! Everyone was getting of the ship in a much shorter window of time, typically between 8am and 10am. Our customers described their experience as a mad dash to get a seat as they juggled their luggage with them. They were often beat by more aggressive passengers and had to wait for the next shuttle to arrive only to have the same experience.

Clearly this is not the way you want to end a cruise vacation and this is partially why our packages with private car service took off. The other reason had more to do with customers who did not want to be so close to others while sitting on the shuttle bus. Perhaps this is a left over concern from the pandemic.

Trinity will be expanding this service which is already offered for the Manhattan, Brooklyn and Bayonne Cape Liberty cruise ports to the Baltimore and Boston cruise ports as early as this Fall.

Until our next posting, we wish all safe and happy travels!
