I realized the other day how often I allow the circumstances of the world to direct my path on a day to day basis. Honestly it
most often goes in a direction that ends in frustration, aggrivation and exhaustion despite the many good things that happen.
Can you relate? It occures to me that I need to change and re-shape priorities in the new year in an effort to focus
on the good that can be done for myself and more imortantly others. It is perhaps equally important to keep perspective on
the challenges of each day so that they don’t over come what is good. I believe that God prepares wonderful opportunities
each day for us to act upon. How can we recognize these opportunities if we are lost in our own condition of worry, frustration
etc….Here is a saying (not sure of the author) that I have used for years as a tag line in my email signature:
“Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Choose your words carefully, for they become actions.
Understand your actions, for they become habits.
Study your habits, for they will become your character
Develope your character, for it becomes your DESTINY.”
It is good to take time to re-evaluate ourselves and then be intentional about making positive changes. With God’s help, we can
get ourselves back on the path He has designed!
As, always, I welcome your thoughts,
Bruce
