We had 23 guests at our last serving at Bread of Life. We served an egg casserole and hashed brown potatoes. Two unexpected
things happened on this snowy day in Northern New Jersey. We always pray before the meal and this day I asked that everyone
join me to lift up a family that also prepares and serves a meal once a month. They recently lost a grand child who fell down and
flight of stairs and did not survive the fall. Shortly after the prayer a few of the guests came to me wanting to offer some money for
the family. Now please understand that money is something our guests have very little of! I was so moved by their heart felt compassion
to want to give what they had so little of. I explained that the family needed their prayers much more than their money but i so honered
their generosity and compassion. What a blessing! The second surprise was from a national bakery truck that came by to drop off
30 loaves of bread! Wow!!! Everyone went home with a loaf or two and so very happy! The driver explained that this was part of his ministry
to serve those in need.
God is go good!!!
