Newark Liberty Cruise Port

The Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne, New Jersey was opened in May 2004. It is located on The Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor, formerly the Bayonne Navy Base/MOTBY facility. The cruise port is 15 minutes from Newark Liberty International Airport and seven miles south of Manhattan. The terminal has handled over 320,000 passenger till date and has the second largest passenger volume among Northeast and Mid-Atlantic coast ports.

The Cape Liberty cruise port has cruises to the Eastern and Southern Caribbean all year round. From January to March and in December there are 7-night cruises to the Bahamas. And from April through October there are 5-night, 6-night, 7-night, 9-night, and 10-night cruises to Bermuda and the Caribbean. And, in August through October, cruises sail to Canada and New England. The homeport vessels at Cape Liberty Cruise Port include Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas and Celebrity Cruises' Summit.

The cruise port has wonderful views of the Statue of Liberty, New York Harbor and the Manhattan skyline. The cruise port is conveniently located and has ample parking available for passengers.

The cruise port has secured parking facility that is operated by Central Parking. The parking area is located adjacent to the cruise terminal.

Directions

If you are travelling from the North take the New Jersey Turnpike/I-95 South to Exit 14A - Bayonne. From exit 14A follow the signs for Route 440 South. Then proceed one and half miles and make a left into the Bayonne Ocean Terminal. The cruise terminal is two miles straight ahead.

If you are travelling from the South take the New Jersey Turnpike/I-95 North to Exit 14A - Bayonne. From exit 14A follow the signs for Route 440 South. Then proceed one and half miles and make a left into the Bayonne Ocean Terminal. The cruise terminal is two miles straight ahead.

If you are travelling from the West via I-80 then take I-80 East to I-95 South to the New Jersey Turnpike. Take the turnpike south to Exit 14A- Bayonne. From exit 14A follow the signs for Route 440 South. Then proceed one and half miles and make a left into the Bayonne Ocean Terminal. The cruise terminal is two miles straight ahead.

If you are travelling from the West via I-78 then take I-78 East directly to the New Jersey Turnpike. Take the turnpike east to Exit 14A- Bayonne. From exit 14A follow the signs for Route 440 South. Then proceed one and half miles and make a left into the Bayonne Ocean Terminal. The cruise terminal is two miles straight ahead.

If you are travelling from the East/Staten Island/Long Island then take the Verrazano Narrows Bridge into Staten Island. Take I-278 West to Route 440 North to and over the Bayonne Bridge. Continue on Route 440 North approximately 3 miles. Make a right into the Bayonne Ocean Terminal. The cruise terminal is 2 miles straight ahead.
